Texas A&M throws Obama a Tea Party

God bless those Aggies!  Obama came to speak at the Bush Library on his national service plan.  Bush 1 was there and had asked conservatives not to protest.  Tough!  The RINOs don’t run the Tea Parties (nor the Young Conservatives on campus).  Kudos to the Young Conservatives, the 9-12 Project groups and the various Tea Parties that sent people from all over the state.

UPDATE: Big V comes through again!  Here’s the workup of his video for a great flavor of the event:

Turnout was probably somewhere between 1,000-1,500; maybe 80-100 came down from the Dallas area.  The great news was the A&M student participation was at least a third of the total; great to see so many college kids on the conservative side, who seem to outnumber their liberal counterparts at least 3-1 .

The winning soapbox speech; by far the shortest (missed the first 10 seconds) but by far the best:

Alas, our one NTTP member who spoke used more words, without being as eloquent:

Some of the younger participants at the rally; they are the future for fiscal sanity:

An active- mostly civil-  debate group formed spontaneously:

Even the dead rose to protest what was happening to their country: ‘John Wayne’ was scarily accurate in both appearance and voice:

Sadly, a few kids didn’t seem to get the fact that their futures were being bankrupted away and just wanted to be funny:

The best signs were these two from the two ends of the age spectrum:

And how could it be a campus protest report without one protest beauty (with a great sign):
