The meeting went well, with 70 plus people showing up for the Legislative autopsy (including up to a dozen visitors from the excellent Richardson Tea Party). We got a special treat in that Ken Paxton, hero of the challenge to Strauss, joined Jody Laubenberg in the Legislative review. It was a frank discussion on both accomplishment and the serious impediments the conservative agenda faced. It serves as a prelude to the next discussion of specific election contests that will be needed to address the impediments.
The next meeting will be in just a few weeks to get into the meat and details of preparation for 2012.
UPDATE: someone put together a pretty good video on this:

Although I would like to participate in the tea party or constituition party movement I live in El Paso Northern Mexico and can not find a branch. I am also more then a little disturbed by your lackof comments about Perry as it is obvious he has been bought and paid for by LULAC and De La Raza seems as if billions in laundered drug money can buy anyone and althoug Obama is doing very little about illegal Mexicans Perry is doing nothing!
Here are some links to Tea party / 9/12 groups in your area; not sure which ones are active:

As for Perry, he has done the ‘Texas Two-Step’ in regards to the big money donors of the GOP. Read this analysis of the Sanctuary Cities debacle in the legislature. I’m sure the money people slapped him back into line behind the scenes.

Mike, I know one of your trademarks has become stretching the turth, but “Ken Paxton, hero of the challenge to Strauss”. I don’t think I would call what happened there a challenge. It was more like a fly buzzing around that got swatted by the real players in Austin.
Well, Davis; I guess you don’t believe in legislators being given a choice OR a say in who runs the legislators. Maybe the lobbyists can all get together and announce their selection before our representatives are even elected, so we don’t waste our time at the ballot box.
