7 Wins, 5 Runoffs, 3 losses, 2 Losses to other TeaApproved People

UPDATE:  The poll volunteers got together for a small party, with the exceptional feast of Cuban food provided by master chef Q Coleman.  A great time had by all, telling stories and assessing the results:

A pretty good night for conservatives and the Tea Parties.  More on it tomorrow but the TeaApproved list has been updated.

The last day, we had 5260 views of this site, over 18,000 for the election cycle.  We ARE having an impact; we were called “a strong ground operation in North Texas” in this Washington Post article.  And we have driven Murphy-Turner from the field of battle once again (Though we must express our kudos to Roger Burns for NOT utilizing that consulting group’s excessive zeal for mudslinging).

Statewide, the ‘Powers That Be’ must be depressed today.  Dewhurst has a runoff (something that wasn’t supposed to happen), The State Senate will definitively be more conservative and Straus lost some key lieutenants (though his cohorts DID manage to take out Wayne Christian).  The ‘Powers’ that Be’ ended up looking like the Japanese at Midway, giving up four carriers to get one.

The Tea Parties (and, more importantly, the driving philosophies of the Tea Parties) aren’t going away.
