The NTTP-Prepared Runoff Voter Guide

Click here for a printable NTTP-prepared voter’s guide, a simple flyer listing recommendations from 5 conservative groups for Collin County, described below.

And here is a flyer for Dallas and Denton Counties.

(Kudos to Gerald Meazell for doing the workup of everybody’s suggestions on format.)

Feel free to print, distribute and take into the polling location with you.

North Texas Tea Party – established in the summer of 2009, the organization was active early in rallies and counter-protests against the healthcare laws and candidate forums, now specializes in online communication and candidate vetting for state and county offices.

Texas Tea Party Alliance – a renaming of the Collin County Tea Party that was formed in early 2009, worked early on in candidate forums and staging rally events, now is primarily a liaison group between others and coordinator for major multi-group events (like the spring U.S. Senate candidate forum). http://www.texasteapartyalliance.org/

Collin County Conservative Republicans – the oldest conservative organization in Collin County, they work within the GOP directly to vet and assist the most conservative candidates. http://www.collincountyconservativerepublicans.com/

Texans for Fiscal Responsibility – Led by the Michael Quinn Sullivan, they are one of a very rare taxpayer advocacy group working in Austin, fighting for fiscal sanity for many years, having put out its first scorecards in 2007.

Young Conservatives of Texas – Primarily a college-based organization, they’ve advocated for the full spectrum of conservative principles and issues for decades

UPDATE: The question has been raised why NTTP did not TeaApprove Ted Cruz: The answer is that we are a State PAC and Senate is a Federal office. Our Treasurer- bearing ALL the fiscal responsibility PERSONALLY for any election law violations, could not get a clear statement in writing from the Texas Elections Commission that is was OK for us to ‘endorse’ for a federal office. Without that, he had to veto our desire to TeaApprove Ted.

Make no mistake: EVERY member of the NTTP Leadership rountable PERSONALLY supports Ted; our self-same treasurer has donated thousands to his campaign. Our polling of the group shows the HIGHEST SUPPORT EVER RECORDED in our polling for a single candidate. Many of us are walking, talking, and writing to elect Ted Cruz. But, with the IRS being used to bludgeon Tea Parties all over the country, we were NOT going to leave them even the smallest an opening to go after us by crossing the line from state to federal offices formally as a group.

The Young Conservatives of Texas and the Texans for Fiscal Responsibility also have a good recommendations for legislative races outside of Collin County as well.

But above all, VOTE!

Also, here are sthe previous poll results of the NTTP membership itself on relevant races.

    What do those percentages mean?

    • Mike O says:

They were from a SPECIFIC polling of our email membership (up to 950 member now) last month. the first column ONLY includes those that had an opinion; the second includes the ‘Don’t Know’ in the percentages.
