We have specific, reliable reports of voting machines recording ballots improperly; specifically, voting straight Democrat, instead of straight Republican. This has been reported in 4 separate instances in Irving, Grapevine, Dallas, and somewhere in HEB. It was demonstrated- in front of the Election Judge- to be reproducible in at least one instance. This problem COULD be limited to Dallas County (who replaced the longtime elections administrator with a Democrat lackey), but one cannot be sure.
We STILL recommend that you vote straight-ticket if that is your decision (and it REMAINS our recommendation). We cannot preclude the slight possibility that this is a misinformation effort to drive down GOP straight voting in Dallas County, where Democrat control is at risk. But always confirm the ballot is displaying what you desire BEFORE hitting the final ‘Cast’ button! We cannot emphasize this enough!
If this does happen to you, back up in the ballot and confirm it IS a problem (And not a little inaccuracy on your part in terms of pressing the right one of two close-together boxes), you should do the following.
- Report it immediately to the election Judge. Make sure that you DO manage to get your own vote cast correctly.
- ALSO ensure the Election Judge has resolved the issue with the machine (normally by taking it out of service; there is NO guarantee a reset will fix this.).
- Contact the Election Administrators office PERSONALLY about the problem. Have as many specifics as possible on the incident.
- Let the GOP County Party know as well, and contact us and everyone you know about the issue. We CANNOT let such things be swept under the rug.
Remember to Vote- AND Vote Carefully!

Suggest if you wish to vote straight ticket you do so name by name instead of hitting the straight ticket button. That way you see each candidate name in case there are any lingering doubts about the person, plus you see the complete list of selected names at the end for review—a second check—before hitting the submit/cast button. This takes longer of course, but this is the most important election in most of our lifetimes.

We say to check straight-ticket, then review each. But ALWAYS review either way.
I thought Romney’s old company Bane Capital had a share in a voting machine company? Anyway, I’ll be taking the extra step of praying over my vote!
